President
As the principal owner of ANZGS Wayne is committed to using the collective industry know-how and vast destination knowledge of the organization to deliver a unique and truly memorable travel experience for each customer. The ANZGS team will be fully engaged in the planning, booking and implementation of your travel arrangements from the initial point of contact through to the follow-up enquiry after your return.
Widely-known throughout the South Pacific travel community, Wayne holds dual New Zealand/U.S. citizenship. With 40 plus years industry experience that includes senior management positions with Pan American World Airways, Ansett Australia, Air New Zealand and as President of Newmans South Pacific Vacations from 1997-2004, Wayne is uniquely qualified for his role. He holds an MBA degree from Pepperdine University.
Matthew Canales
V.P. Operations and Finance
As a frequent traveler to the South Pacific, Matt has explored most of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Tahiti, Samoa and the Cook Islands. Matt spent some time in Australia coordinating the program of specialized land arrangements for participants in some of the larger group programs that we handle.
He brings considerable management expertise to the ANZGS team and holds engineering degrees from the University of the Pacific and an MBA in Finance & Marketing from the University of Southern California.
Matt is a New Zealand Specialist Gold Level Member & a Premier Aussie Specialist. Membership in the Premier Aussie Specialist category is an acknowledgement of the destination expertise, insider knowledge and strong ties with the Australian travel industry of Aussie Specialist agents with an established record of selling Australia. Only approximately 10% of Aussie Specialists are at the Premier level.
Myrna Fernandez
Manager Air Department
Myrna brings extensive experience to the air department and has held management and supervisory positions with leading tour wholesalers and retail travel agencies in Los Angeles and Manila. Her strong work ethic, specialized knowledge of airline booking systems and airline contracts, along with superior customer service skills, makes Myrna a highly valued member of our team.
Myrna holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce from the Philippines, a Master Travel Course Diploma from the North American School of Travel and is a Certified Specialist with the Airlines Reporting Corporation.
